Its my take on the famous Diego Rivera painting- Nude with Calla Lilies. As  always, It took me much longer to paint than expected.  mostly because I am soo hard on myself. Also,  the dresser drawers had 3 edges to them,  there was very little flat edge. But it’s done, It looks awesome and the new owner is very happy.

I wanted to take a picture of the whole room, but the owner is pretty private, and a man, so he just doesn’t get it. The dresser is between two beds in  the spare bedroom, there is a gorgeous hand painted talavera lamp, surrounded by weavings, pillows and bed covers all hand woven by the local woman of Guatemala.

my view

Hello everyone,  know you think living at the beach is paradise, having this as your view while you work is a dream come true. But with all this beauty, some times your walking and not paying attention, which is what I was doing on friday and I tripped on a piece of brain coral, big round pieces of coral that looks like brains, but as white as the color of the sand which is hard to see. I ended up spraining my right ankle and getting 8 stitches in my left knee. So needless to say I have been layed up since then. today is tuesday morning and I have finally made it from the hammock to my couch.  So I am back on line updating my new site. I will be adding all of my artwork, and much more soon. I will start adding posts once in awhile to keep you up to date with what I’m working on.

This piece of art in the picture is one that combines Mayan symbols which I will talk about more later. We’ll be using this format for all future artwork “hung on my web wall”.

I will be setting up a payment system here too for art lovers who would like to purchase some of my work. My bio will be updated this week as well, as soon as I get all my information caught up here.
