Designs and Fabrics

My designs are inspired by the Indiginous cultures of Mexico, especially Mayan and Aztec. After 12 years I am still the only artist reproducing these symbols on fabric and into usable art. Living in the Caribbean also inspires me to paint the incredible diversity of fish and wildlife from this area as seen through my eyes.

      Any designs you see on these pages can be transformed to t-shirts, wall hangings or pillow cases. I can also match up my design to your color story with a sample fabric.

      My fabrics include Silk, Cotton and Natural Jute.

Crocs and Gators	SILK- Even though silk is so luxurious and feels so soft and fragile, it is hand washable and can be pressed with an iron. My 90x90cm. silks can be worn as fabulous scarves, though many people purchase them for framing. There are many ways to frame, silk with or without glass.
Silk Hearts	All woman and little girls love hearts, you can never go wrong. Add their name and it will be a gift they will treasure for ever.

Abstract Flor	COTTON- Pillow cases and wall hangings on cotton are machine washable; you will be impressed with the durability of the fabric and paint after numerous washings. Pillows come with either a fold-over finish or a velcro closure. Please specify your preference.

Mayan Horoscopes- Family Portrait	JUTE- I have painted my wall hangings on cotton and on canvases, but the most popular have been on jute, there are many natural shades to choose from and they give these fabulous designs from past times a more natural and ancient look.

Spring Flowers on Satin	DIFFERENT FABRICS- When using a fabric of mixed blends, for example Satin, Cotton/Lycra etc. I recommend dry clean only.

God of Dreams	PANELS OF COTTON OR JUTE Comes with a fringed or finished edge which can then be sent to you to be sewn onto your fabric of choice. < GOD OF DREAMS was painted on lime green jute and sewn onto a heavy blue twill fabric to match someones couch. BIRD IN THE SUN was painted on unbleached coton and sewn onto faded denim.>	Bird in Sun
Faces	PANELS OF SILK Here is the same design painted on silk. One is in Bright caribbean colors the other is a little more abstract done in earth colors. They were painted for 2 friends who loved the same design, but also wanted something different. They went home two very happy customers.	Faces 1

Sea Life Design	I have been obsessed with color since I was a child. Click on to this painting to see the way I blend the colors together, I have always been more concerned about turning people on visually with color than with trying to produce "real life".
